Manager, Technical Operations – AI, Automations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead a team tasked with creating and maintaining the systems, automations, and infrastructure that support every internal department.

• Manage and nurture a team of builders (AI/Automation technical builders) across various skill levels through coaching, mentorship, performance management, and career growth planning.

• Establish and uphold the technical standards and quality expectations for all systems and automation initiatives.

• Actively contribute to high-impact technical builds while assisting in scaling team capabilities and headcount.

• Oversee vendor relationships across platforms such as Zoom, Twilio, SendBlue, Zapier, N8N, Supabase, Notion, Slack, Loom, Calendly, and future tools.

• Maintain Build Team velocity standards and ensure that all requests transition from submission to active project management swiftly and efficiently.

• Collaborate closely with the Director of Operations to aid in technical decision-making, reporting, hiring initiatives, and cross-functional execution.

• Represent the Build Team in company-wide discussions, proactively highlighting recommendations, risks, and opportunities.

• Work alongside peer leaders in Data, Project Management, Sales, Marketing, and Operations to provide scalable solutions throughout the organization.


⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience in building production AI systems and automations.

• Advanced proficiency with contemporary AI tools and platforms such as Claude, Claude Code, N8N, Supabase, AI agents, automation frameworks, and related technologies.

• Strong grasp of systems architecture, workflow design, automation strategy, and operational scalability.

• Experience in managing vendor relationships, software contracts, and SaaS budgets.

• Proven track record of leading technical builders, operators, systems teams, or automation teams consisting of four or more members.

• Demonstrated capability in owning capacity planning, prioritization, and operational execution within a high-growth setting.

• Ability to think strategically while remaining hands-on when necessary.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead challenging conversations, negotiate effectively, and ensure accountability.

• Capacity to make swift decisions in fast-paced environments with incomplete information.

• Preferred experience in entrepreneurial, founder-led, or high-accountability organizations.
