This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and cultivate a team of systems engineers.

• Provide technical guidance, coaching, and opportunities for career advancement.

• Establish team priorities, manage resources, and develop workload management strategies.

• Support recruitment, onboarding, succession planning, and the development of talent.

• Oversee the development, analysis, allocation, and management of system requirements.

• Ensure traceability of requirements through design, implementation, verification, and validation.

• Review and approve documentation related to requirements and change management processes.

• Identify gaps, conflicts, risks, and opportunities for improvement in requirements.

• Establish metrics and best practices for requirements management.

• Collaborate with engineering leadership to define enterprise system architectures and technical solutions.

• Ensure that solutions are aligned with business objectives, technical requirements, and compliance standards.

• Participate in architecture reviews and engage in technical decision-making.

• Support evaluations of system design and conduct lifecycle risk assessments.

• Lead the planning and execution of verification and validation activities.

• Promote practices that enhance system reliability, security, performance, and quality.

• Work in conjunction with quality and testing teams to ensure compliance and readiness for audits.

• Monitor verification activities, addressing technical issues and non-conformities as they arise.

• Advocate for continuous improvement and the adoption of engineering best practices.

• Build collaborative partnerships across engineering, technology, and business teams.

• Drive results through strategic planning, data-informed decision-making, and effective execution.

• Foster an inclusive, engaged, and high-performing team culture.

• Encourage innovation, ownership, and professional development.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.

• At least 6 years of experience in systems engineering, software engineering, computer engineering, or a related discipline.

• A minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in managing personnel, technical teams, or functional groups.

• Proven success in leading technical teams and executing cross-functional initiatives.

• Strong grasp of systems engineering principles and lifecycle methodologies.

• Experience with requirements management, verification and validation, systems integration, and risk management.

• Exceptional communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management abilities.

• Experience in managing systems engineering operations within a mid-sized enterprise environment.

• Solid background in enterprise infrastructure architecture, deployment, and support.

• Familiarity with VMware, Hyper-V, and other virtualization platforms.

• Experience with Cisco UCS platforms and associated infrastructure architecture.

• Knowledge of patch management, vulnerability management, and threat remediation practices.

• Familiarity with configuration management and change control procedures.

• Experience with tools for requirements traceability and management.

• Knowledge of telecommunications and contact center technologies, including flow design, automation, and reporting.

• Demonstrated success in implementing process enhancements and operational best practices.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States; Liberty cannot employ or permit work outside the United States.

• No relocation assistance or sponsorship available.
