This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.
• Lead, mentor, and support a diverse group of seasoned engineering professionals managing teams across the US, Canada, UK, Australia, and New Zealand.
• Own the product vision, prioritize the portfolio, and make trade-off decisions for assigned product lines, serving as the accountable voice for both engineering and product results.
• Develop and implement communication strategies to align a global, cross-functional team with product and delivery objectives.
• Engage with stakeholders to balance strategic, commercial, and technical priorities, translating customer feedback into product direction.
• Assemble and oversee high-performing, multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Set objectives, track performance, encourage communication, and ensure the well-being of direct reports.
• Assist with administrative tasks to ensure timely processing of actions affecting direct reports.
• Define and protect product intent by clarifying what each product is, what it is not, and for whom it is intended, and reiterate this when faced with scope pressures.
• Collaborate with team leads to assess high-level architecture, internal project goals, and technical challenges.
• Partner with stakeholders to refine project priorities and adjust deliveries based on changing market and customer needs.
• Analyze program requirements and develop effort estimates in collaboration with program management partners.
• Maintain expertise in relevant disciplines and contribute to ongoing software projects in research, engineering, or quality assurance.
• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience.
• Graduate Degree with at least 7 years of relevant experience.
• Alternatively, a minimum of 13 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Over 8 years of experience in software development, process automation, quality engineering, or network operations.
• Proficient in high-level programming languages and operating systems (Linux, Windows, macOS, Android, iOS).
• Familiarity with cybersecurity fundamentals, including penetration testing, offensive and defensive techniques, and both host and network forensics.
• Understanding of TCP/IP communications, network security principles, and client/server architecture.
• Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker), git workflows, and continuous integration/delivery platforms (e.g., Bamboo, Jenkins, GitHub, GitLab).
• Knowledge and hands-on experience with agile software development methodologies.
• Over 4 years of experience in a leadership role.
• Significant experience in CNO development and offensive cybersecurity.
• Proficiency in low-level programming languages and instruction sets.
• Ability to install and operate developer debugging tools on Windows, macOS, Android, or iOS.
• Experience with containerization, microservices, and DevOps practices.
