This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +3 more states.
• Oversee all facets of major subcontract execution, focusing on cost, schedule, technical, and quality performance.
• Integrate subcontract work into the larger program, encompassing proposals, negotiations, and contract execution.
• Coordinate the integration of Subcontracts, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Planning teams.
• Act as the primary liaison between subcontractors and the project management team.
• Supervise the complete procurement cycle between KBR’s technical team and suppliers.
• Handle proposal evaluations, contract documentation, and modifications to contracts.
• Create subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions.
• Lead negotiations with suppliers regarding cost, terms, conditions, and long-term agreements.
• Manage costs, seek cost avoidance strategies, and conduct price analyses.
• Formulate supplier sourcing strategies and commodity-product metrics.
• Assess and enhance supplier performance while initiating corrective measures.
• Analyze market trends and perform ad-hoc analyses for management insights.
• Oversee and mentor the Purchasing/Subcontracts Team, including performance appraisals and identifying training needs.
• Execute efficiency initiatives, maintain KPIs, and create GR/IR strategies for prompt supplier payments.
• A Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
• Typically requires 15+ years of experience in procurement and subcontract management.
• 3–5 years of experience in a managerial position is necessary.
• 5–7 years of subcontracts management experience, including negotiating Master Service Agreements and complex Subcontract Agreements.
• Proven experience in establishing scopes of work and drafting specifications, statements of work, contracts/subcontracts, and supplier deliverables.
• Experience with various subcontract types such as IDIQ, cost reimbursable, and fixed-price.
• Proficiency in negotiations, terms and conditions, incentive arrangements, and order placements.
• U.S. Government contract experience is highly desirable, especially LOGCAP experience.
• Strong familiarity with FAR and DFARS regulations.
• Significant experience in negotiating subcontract agreements valued between $25M and $50M.
• Experience managing and leading a supply chain team of 25 or more personnel is advantageous.
• Proven experience managing Subcontract Administrators and Subcontract Supervisors.
• Exceptional English written, verbal, and presentation communication skills are essential.
• Ability to communicate effectively with international teams and suppliers.
• Strong project management, negotiation, and conflict resolution capabilities.
• Keen attention to detail, complex problem-solving abilities, and strong organizational skills.
• Background check is required.
• Experience in government contracting or government solutions is highly desirable.
• Experience managing relationships with international customers/suppliers.
• Proficiency in developing and monitoring internal metrics.
• Strong foundation in cost analysis and price analysis.
• Familiarity with IDIQ contracts is beneficial.
• Experience working with or leading DCMA audits, including CPSR audits, is highly preferred.
• Ability to lead a diverse team and implement initiatives for efficiency.
• Understanding of global procurement processes and supply chain management is crucial.
