This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead, mentor, and enhance a team of project managers focused on delivering high-impact strategic initiatives.
• Personally oversee intricate, highly visible projects sponsored by executives while functioning as a player-coach.
• Allocate tasks based on business priorities, project intricacy, team capacity, and developmental requirements.
• Establish project management standards, templates, governance routines, and reporting expectations.
• Collaborate with the Director of Strategic Initiatives on portfolio planning, prioritization, resource distribution, and departmental goals.
• Spearhead the identification, scoping, planning, and comprehensive delivery of strategic initiatives.
• Convert executive objectives into project charters, requirements, work plans, milestones, success metrics, and governance frameworks.
• Oversee deliverables, timelines, budgets, dependencies, risks, issues, and business outcomes.
• Develop business cases, implementation strategies, and resource plans.
• Facilitate cross-functional planning and decision-making with executives, business leaders, technology teams, subject matter experts, and external partners.
• Manage communications with stakeholders and prepare executive-level reports.
• Drive the resolution of delivery obstacles and escalate decisions or resource limitations as necessary.
• Ensure operational readiness through communication, training, process documentation, transition planning, and post-implementation support.
• Monitor adoption, financial impact, operational enhancements, and other agreed-upon benefits.
• Utilize business analysis and process improvement techniques, such as requirements gathering, process mapping, data analysis, interviews, and policy evaluations.
• Lead project closure activities, lessons learned, benefit handoff, documentation, and transition to business owners.
• Maintain visibility across the strategic initiatives portfolio, including status updates, capacity, priorities, interdependencies, and delivery risks.
• Assist in initiative intake and prioritization.
• Coordinate sequencing across initiatives and manage shared resources and dependencies.
• Develop and maintain portfolio dashboards, roadmaps, schedules, RAID logs, decision logs, and governance documents.
• Prepare for and lead governance meetings, steering committees, working sessions, and executive updates.
• Monitor portfolio health and recommend corrective actions, reprioritization, or escalation as needed.
• Continuously enhance delivery methods and departmental processes.
• Lead or assist in acquisition integration planning and execution when assigned.
• Coordinate integration workstreams and system, process, and data migration initiatives.
• Evaluate acquired-company processes and suggest alignment with Trace3's operating models, policies, systems, and controls.
• Support requirements gathering, future-state process documentation, data validation, and business readiness.
• A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in project, program, or strategic initiative management within Information Technology, Professional Services, or a similarly complex business environment.
• At least 3 years of direct experience in people leadership, including coaching project managers, managing performance, and developing team capabilities.
• Proven success operating as a player-coach while leading a team and directly delivering complex, cross-functional initiatives.
• Established ability to manage concurrent initiative portfolios, balancing resources and priorities, and providing portfolio-level reporting to senior leadership.
• A track record of delivering business and technology initiatives with measurable outcomes, including process, system, data, organizational, or integration-related changes.
• Strong understanding of project and program management methodologies, governance, requirements management, risk management, and organizational change management.
• PMP, PgMP, CSM, or a comparable project/program management certification is preferred.
• Strong business and financial acumen, including evaluating trade-offs, developing business cases, and linking execution to business outcomes.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, manage changing priorities, and make informed decisions in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent written, verbal, facilitation, and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate complex matters to C-level executives and non-technical audiences.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, demonstrating strong judgment, follow-through, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in project and portfolio management tools and Microsoft applications, including Visio, Project, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint.
