This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Lead a distributed team of intermediate and senior Solutions Architects who support Enterprise customers in the Western territory.

• Provide coaching, mentoring, and development opportunities for team members through regular feedback, career guidance, and skills enhancement in both technical and consultative domains.

• Build and maintain a high-performing team by making thoughtful hiring decisions, ensuring effective onboarding, and promoting an inclusive, results-driven culture.

• Set an example by participating in key customer engagements as a Solutions Architect, guiding them from discovery to technical validation and successful adoption of the GitLab platform.

• Ensure the quality and consistency of technical evaluations, demonstrations, and proofs of concept, ensuring that GitLab solutions effectively meet customer business and technical needs.

• Work closely with regional sales managers to develop territory strategies, account plans, and forecast support, ensuring alignment between technical and commercial efforts.

• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing teams to provide field insights, influence product roadmaps, and enhance messaging related to GitLab's Enterprise Edition and platform capabilities.

• Take ownership of team execution by defining and monitoring key performance indicators, communicating progress, risks, and priorities clearly to your team, peers, and leadership.


⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in mentoring and developing technical team members, including providing and receiving constructive feedback.

• Experience in managing or leading technical pre-sales or information technology professionals, preferably in an enterprise-focused setting.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with other managers and cross-functional partners to strategize and execute sales and go-to-market initiatives.

• Excellent technical presentation and communication skills, capable of engaging both technical and business stakeholders.

• Familiarity with the complete software development lifecycle, including modern software development and operational practices.

• Understanding of continuous integration and continuous deployment concepts and their implications on customer outcomes.

• Knowledge of cloud computing concepts, associated technologies, and common patterns in customer adoption.

• Willingness to travel as required by business needs and in accordance with the company's travel policy, along with a readiness to learn and utilize GitLab and related tools, including transferable experience from adjacent domains.
