This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Lead and oversee a team of software engineering professionals focused on product development to drive business results.
• Responsible for the successful delivery of products within the designated product portfolio.
• Collaborate with your team to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions utilizing a comprehensive range of development tools and technologies.
• Cultivate a service-oriented team that provides outstanding business solutions aligned with application requirements in a cooperative environment.
• Monitor essential metrics to evaluate delivery performance and quality.
• Regularly engage with Product Owners and Team Leads for collaboration.
• Make informed decisions, solve problems effectively, and engage in strategic planning for product coding.
• Offer leadership, coaching, and mentoring to direct reports, promoting a culture of excellence and ongoing learning (Winning Behaviors).
• Supply the technical information necessary for preparing annual budget estimates for software development, including resources needed to address business needs promptly.
• Capable of predicting future technology trends and business requirements.
• Engage in ongoing education regarding emerging development trends and technologies.
• Foster positive relationships with teams and colleagues.
• Prioritize team product tasks and epic assignments efficiently.
• Demonstrate excellent organizational skills and a proven track record of meeting deliverables.
• Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures and project guidelines.
• Implement corporate and industry security protocols throughout the team.
• Over 5 years of experience in information technology.
• Proven experience managing IT Applications functions, including software development, implementation, and support/maintenance; scope management, timelines, budgets, etc.
• Proficient in Agile SDLC methodologies.
• Familiarity with Scrum tools such as Jira and Azure DevOps.
• Experience with CI/CD Pipelines (Azure DevOps).
• Proficient in Git (Bitbucket, Azure DevOps).
• Over 5 years of experience with Java.
• Knowledge of DB2.
• Experience with AS400 (logs, files).
• Proficient in Eclipse and IntelliJ.
• Strong understanding of process development and release management.
• Excellent communication skills.
• At least 3 years of supervisory/management experience, including developing high-performing teams, conducting performance and salary reviews, and providing career guidance and coaching.
• More than 2 years of experience managing software development teams supporting enterprise application solutions.
• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field from an accredited four-year institution.
• Experience implementing Agile SDLC methodologies.
• Working knowledge of the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.).
• Familiarity with code repositories.
