Manager, Software Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Croatia.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the complete delivery of the product roadmap by supervising daily engineering operations and cross-team projects.

• Act as the strategic architect for your team's workflow, transforming ambitious features into well-defined, executable technical milestones.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a technical lead or management role, ideally having transitioned from an individual contributor position.

• At least 8 years of experience in web application or platform development and architecture.

• Previous hands-on experience in developing enterprise web applications using the .Net stack or similar technologies.

• A strong commitment to sound engineering practices and processes, including conducting code reviews and delivering unit tests alongside feature rollouts.

• Capability to make informed decisions and operate with minimal supervision.

• Proven experience in understanding technical architecture, reviewing design work, and providing constructive feedback to a skilled engineering team.

• Experience in establishing and analyzing business metrics, with the ability to communicate these metrics effectively to the team and ensure that new features align with them.

• Skills in managing priorities, setting realistic expectations with peer engineering management, and delivering features punctually and with high quality.

• Ability to identify the training needs of team members and onboard new hires regarding products, processes, and technologies. Sufficiently technically proficient to engage in roadmap prioritization.

• Familiarity with and experience in the agile (scrum) development process.

• Excellent listening, written, and verbal communication skills.
