Manager, Services Portfolio

📋 Description

• Takes ownership of reviewing business opportunities to enhance the product portfolio by analyzing and understanding targeted markets, segmentation efforts, market trends, new technologies, and the competitive landscape.

• Collaborates closely with Managed Services delivery teams to develop product roadmaps that fulfill the product vision, optimize service margins, and create value for customers.

• Responsible for converting business and customer requirements into clear, actionable product specifications that guide an offshore development team of 8 members.

• Owns and maintains a well-organized product backlog featuring clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and business context.

• In conjunction with the Business Analysts, leads sprint planning, backlog grooming, and regular check-ins across various time zones.

• Oversees a team of business analysts located in both North America and India.

• Works with stakeholders to define product roadmaps and go-to-market strategies that support revenue targets and competitively position the solution for future growth.

• Manages the product line life cycle from strategic planning through to tactical execution and acts as the internal advocate for customers regarding both new and existing products throughout the product lifecycle. This includes understanding how customers currently utilize our services, identifying where value is generated, and determining how services should evolve.

• Responsible for the go-to-market process from a services perspective, including service pricing, operational design, operational modeling, and scaling.

• Monitors and evaluates the performance of GHX products, including product profitability, actual versus planned revenue, customer satisfaction, and retention/renewal rates.

• Analyzes internal metrics to assess how the product influences company operations.

• Reviews aspects that may affect product profitability, such as product life cycle, quality, technical support, marketing initiatives, and sales support.

• Manages a portfolio of products and services that align with market needs; evaluates the health of the portfolio and how its components contribute to the corporate strategy.

• Creates product roadmaps that convey the vision for the product and outlines typical user personas that represent programming targets.

• Develops scenarios for user personas to illustrate instances of market challenges or situations demonstrating the necessity of product requirements.

• Reviews the release plan with periodic progress checkpoints across each operational group.

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or a combination of education and related experience.

• At least 5 years of experience in product management.

• Proven experience in managing a team of analysts.

• Prior background in the healthcare sector.

• Familiarity with SaaS (Software as a Service) applications and business models.

• Experience in process optimization.

• Ability to achieve results both independently and within a matrixed organization.

• Willingness to take initiative and drive projects to completion.

• Technical proficiency to comprehend product dynamics and recommend enhancements.

• Strong executive presence.

• Highly skilled in collaborative work across multiple business and technical functions.

• Excellent leadership abilities, with a self-directed approach and strong initiative.

• Strong project management skills and well-organized.

• Willing and able to travel up to 25% of the time.
