This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead the preparation, coordination, and review of quarterly and annual filings (Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K), ensuring adherence to US GAAP and SEC regulations.
• Draft financial statements, accompanying footnotes, and Management Discussion & Analysis (MD&A) disclosures.
• Conduct technical accounting research; create position papers on complex topics (e.g., business combinations, segment reporting); and perform thorough analysis and review of crucial accounting items such as cash flow statements and diluted EPS.
• Identify and assess upcoming accounting standards, spearhead their implementation, and effectively communicate insights to management, business partners, and auditors.
• Manage the review process in collaboration with internal stakeholders, legal advisors, and external auditors.
• Supervise and mentor accounting team members, offering coaching, goal-setting, performance feedback, and guidance for career development.
• Assist with monthly and quarterly closing activities, which include reviewing journal entries and reconciliations related to stock-based compensation.
• Propel process improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing close and reporting workflows, with an emphasis on automation, AI-driven solutions, and enhanced controls.
• Ensure comprehensive documentation of accounting policies, procedures, and controls to satisfy SOX and audit requirements.
• Support special projects and conduct ad hoc analysis, including M&A integration.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification is mandatory.
• 6–10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in an SEC reporting role at a public company or with a Big 4 public accounting firm.
• Extensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations; familiarity with Workiva is preferred.
• Proven track record of driving process improvements and utilizing automation tools or AI within accounting or finance roles; experience with Oracle is advantageous.
• Strong abilities in developing, maintaining, and enhancing accounting documentation and policy materials.
• Detail-oriented and process-focused, possessing robust analytical skills to deconstruct complex issues and implement scalable solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of articulating technical concepts clearly to a diverse audience.
• Proven ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and varying levels of staff to achieve results.
• Effective in delegating, mentoring, and fostering a team-oriented culture that prioritizes process excellence and continuous improvement.
• A self-starter who excels with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and embraces new technologies and innovative approaches.
