Manager, Royalty Accounting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Supervise the North American Accounting and Subrights teams.

• Ensure that all transactions are thoroughly supported and comply with GAAP, internal policies, and industry standards.

• Oversee and verify all financial postings related to royalty, licensing, and intercompany transactions.

• Review and sanction financial provisions while ensuring the accuracy of complex accruals.

• Manage the structure of the royalty system and coordinate its software functionalities.

• Act as the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) in North American royalty accounting.

• Empower the team to generate sophisticated reports for joint ventures, profit sharing, and other financial requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in corporate accounting, finance, or royalty operations.

• At least 5 years in a senior leadership position or a high-level analyst role.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• CPA or other professional certification is preferred.

• Strong understanding of royalty or cost accounting and revenue recognition (Order-to-Cash).

• Familiarity with sales, goods distribution, warehouse processes, author contracts, and contract interpretation.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Experience with JDE Financials, Order-to-Cash software, or the Klopotek royalty system is highly desirable.

• Outstanding communication skills via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
