Manager, Rights and Permissions

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Manages and coordinates the daily tasks of licensing coordinators and assistants.

• Tracks task progress and offers guidance on established procedures.

• Addresses routine issues and escalates significant contract concerns.

• Promotes compliance with procedures and enhances team understanding of copyright principles.

• Leverages AI technology to automate and refine workflows.

• Answers queries regarding asset ownership and the status of licenses.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Publishing, Business, or a related discipline; advanced certification in intellectual property (IP) or content compliance is preferred.

• Over 4 years of experience in rights and permissions management, content compliance, or licensing, with a minimum of 1 year in a managerial role.

• Strong background in either rights/permissions (e.g., asset clearance, contract negotiation) or content compliance (e.g., risk assessment, regulatory compliance).

• Proven skill in utilizing AI tools for workflow enhancement (e.g., AI-driven automation in Excel, Power BI, Copilot Studio, or NotebookLM) to facilitate data-intensive tasks such as permissions tracking and reporting.

• Familiarity with copyright law, licensing contracts, and compliance processes.

• Exceptional communication, coaching, and problem-solving abilities; proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and rights management systems.

• Capacity to excel in a dynamic, collaborative setting while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
