This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee various high-impact projects that facilitate strategic sales opportunities in the public sector.
• Lead a team of Solutions Architects by focusing on recruitment, coaching, feedback, and retention efforts.
• Direct technical assessments and validation processes to assist customers in understanding how GitLab fulfills their business and technical needs.
• Partner with regional sales managers on account strategies and collaborate with cross-functional leaders on intricate opportunities.
• Enhance team practices and execution strategies in collaboration with Solutions Architect leadership and other departments.
• Convey GitLab’s vision, strategy, and values in a manner that aids your team in integrating them into their daily tasks.
• Monitor team performance through key performance indicators and provide transparent updates to peers and leadership.
• Demonstrate effective customer engagement by serving as a Solutions Architect on selected opportunities to facilitate customer success.
• Proven experience in leading teams with accountability for execution, coaching, and performance management.
• Background in technical pre-sales or a similar information technology role that involves customer-facing solution design.
• Understanding of contemporary software development or operational practices throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
• Familiarity with cloud computing technologies and the practices that enable secure, scalable adoption.
• Capability to mentor others and provide as well as receive constructive feedback in a clear and respectful manner.
• Experience collaborating with other managers and cross-functional teams to formulate and implement shared strategies.
• Background in supporting public sector clients with an awareness of the needs of regulated or mission-driven environments.
• Willingness to leverage transferable leadership and technical expertise from related fields where customer outcomes, collaboration, and technical credibility are crucial.
