This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.
• Oversee, mentor, and provide support to a substantial group of skilled engineering professionals managing teams across the US, Canada, UK, Australia, and New Zealand.
• Take ownership of product vision, portfolio priorities, and trade-off decisions for designated product lines, serving as the accountable representative for both engineering and product outcomes.
• Develop and implement communication strategies to unify a global, cross-functional workforce around product and delivery objectives.
• Engage with stakeholders to align strategic, commercial, and technical priorities, translating customer feedback into product direction.
• Build and oversee high-performance, multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Establish objectives, track performance, foster communication, and ensure the well-being of team members.
• Assist with administrative responsibilities to guarantee prompt processing of matters affecting team members.
• Define and protect product intent by clarifying what each product is, what it is not, and its target audience, reiterating this when scope pressures arise.
• Collaborate with team leads to evaluate high-level architecture, internal project goals, and technical challenges.
• Partner with stakeholders to fine-tune project priorities and modify deliveries in response to changing market and customer needs.
• Analyze program requirements and create effort estimates in collaboration with program management partners.
• Maintain expertise in relevant disciplines and contribute to ongoing software projects in research, engineering, or quality assurance.
• Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience.
• Graduate Degree with at least 7 years of relevant experience.
• Alternatively, a minimum of 13 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Over 8 years of experience in software development, process automation, quality engineering, or network operations.
• Proficient in high-level programming languages and operating systems, including Linux, Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity fundamentals, such as penetration testing, offensive and defensive techniques, and host and network forensics.
• Understanding of TCP/IP communications, network security principles, and client/server architecture.
• Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker), git workflows, and CI/CD platforms (e.g., Bamboo, Jenkins, GitHub, GitLab).
• Knowledge and hands-on experience with agile software development methodologies.
• At least 4 years of experience in a leadership role.
• Significant experience in CNO development and offensive cybersecurity.
• Proficient in low-level programming languages and instruction sets.
• Capable of installing and using developer debugging tools on Windows, macOS, Android, or iOS.
• Experience with containerization, microservices, and DevOps practices.
