This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Supervise a group of Pharmacy1st-owned pharmacies within a designated area.
• Assume responsibility for the P&L of each pharmacy in the region, focusing on driving revenue growth, enhancing profitability, assisting Pharmacists in Charge, and ensuring consistent implementation across all locations.
• Regularly travel to pharmacies, facilitate business review meetings with Pharmacists in Charge, troubleshoot site-specific issues, and act as the primary communication link between Corporate HQ and local pharmacy teams.
• Own the financial outcomes for each pharmacy within the assigned region.
• Manage revenue, gross profit, operating expenses, and contribution margin at the site level.
• Conduct regular reviews of pharmacy financials to identify performance improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with finance and leadership to monitor performance against budget, forecasts, and growth objectives.
• Create action plans for pharmacies that underperform and ensure their implementation.
• Oversee the daily operational performance of pharmacies in the assigned region.
• Work closely with Pharmacists in Charge to pinpoint and resolve operational challenges.
• Ensure that each pharmacy operates efficiently, consistently, and in accordance with Pharmacy1st standards.
• Facilitate improvements in prescription volume, workflow efficiency, inventory management, and patient services.
• Identify operational bottlenecks and implement effective solutions at the site level.
• Lead frequent business review meetings with each Pharmacist in Charge.
• Analyze key performance metrics, including revenue, prescriptions, gross margin, labor productivity, inventory, patient experience, and cash flow.
• Set clear performance objectives and establish accountability for each location.
• Monitor progress against agreed-upon action items following each site visit.
• Elevate significant issues to Corporate HQ with well-defined recommendations.
• Cultivate strong relationships with Pharmacists in Charge, pharmacy technicians, and local teams.
• Represent operations between Corporate HQ and local pharmacies.
• Ensure local teams receive adequate support while upholding high-performance standards.
• Assist in translating company priorities into actionable site-level tasks.
• Address site-level challenges related to staffing, workflow, inventory, payer issues, patient experience, or vendor performance.
• Recognize recurring challenges across pharmacies and devise scalable solutions.
• Share best practices among sites within the region.
• Promote standardization of operating playbooks, reporting schedules, and performance management routines.
• Collaborate with Corporate HQ across finance, pharmacy operations, clinical services, compliance, HR, and growth initiatives.
• Over 5 years of experience in pharmacy operations, healthcare operations, retail operations, or multi-site operations management.
• Proven experience managing multiple locations or a regional operating portfolio.
• Strong financial insight and experience in owning or managing P&L performance.
• Capability to interpret site-level financial data and convert insights into actionable strategies.
• Experience in leading performance reviews, operating schedules, and accountability systems.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with frontline teams and senior leadership.
• Willingness to travel frequently throughout the assigned region.
• Strong ownership mentality and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Background in independent pharmacy, retail pharmacy, healthcare services, or multi-site healthcare operations.
• Experience working directly with Pharmacists in Charge or pharmacy teams.
• Familiarity with drivers of prescription volume, pharmacy workflow, inventory management, payer dynamics, and gross margin performance.
• Experience in integrating newly acquired locations into a broader operating framework.
• Experience operating in rural or small-town markets.
