📋 Description

• Oversee the complete permitting process for solar initiatives, starting from the initial application through to final approval.

• Collaborate with internal teams, external consultants, and regulatory bodies to secure all necessary permits, licenses, and approvals.

• Establish and nurture robust relationships with local, state, and federal agencies to accelerate permitting timelines.

• Ensure adherence to all environmental regulations, zoning ordinances, building codes, and other relevant requirements.

• Analyze project plans and documentation to determine permitting needs and identify potential issues.

• Monitor and manage permitting schedules, budgets, and milestones to ensure project deadlines are met.

• Prepare and submit permit applications, including all required documentation and technical reports.

• Provide ongoing updates to project teams and management regarding permitting status, risks, and challenges.

• Work alongside engineering, legal, and development teams to address permitting-related obstacles.

• Keep abreast of updates in regulations and permitting requirements that could affect project timelines or expenses.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related discipline is preferred.

• At least 1-2 years of experience in permitting, regulatory compliance, or environmental planning within the renewable energy sector.

• Demonstrated success in managing permitting processes for large-scale solar or renewable energy projects.

• In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to environmental permitting and land use.

• Exceptional communication skills with the capability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management capabilities.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.

• Experience with GIS software and environmental impact assessments is advantageous.
