This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee People due diligence in collaboration with benefits and legal vendors to pinpoint risks, issues, opportunities, and strategies for mitigation.
• Create and maintain the people integration project plan from the signing of the LOI through three months post-close using Microsoft Planner.
• Standardize HR policies, practices, compensation, HR technology, and benefits across partner firms and Ascend.
• Collect, organize, and transfer employee data from acquired companies.
• Implement the Platform Integration Playbook and Add-On Playbook during the Technology Stack Transition phase.
• Drive change management initiatives aimed at enhancing employee engagement, communication, and reducing disruptions.
• Perform cultural due diligence and spearhead efforts to unify organizational cultures.
• Act as the point of contact for employees from acquired firms regarding integration, policies, and HR processes.
• Monitor employee sentiment through surveys and feedback tools, escalating concerns as necessary.
• Coordinate integration events, workshops, open enrollments, system training, and HR Lead training sessions.
• Develop post-acquisition onboarding and engagement programs in collaboration with the Employee Experience Manager.
• Ensure that M&A HR processes adhere to labor laws, regulatory standards, and internal policies.
• Identify and address legal, compliance, and employee-relations risks.
• Manage Workday integration and employee data migration processes.
• Resolve HR system issues in coordination with IT and HRIS teams.
• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, IT, and Operations as the HR representative on the M&A integration leadership team.
• Lead cross-functional HR workstreams and provide support to HR leaders through add-on acquisitions.
• Track and report on retention, employee satisfaction, cultural alignment, and integration progress.
• Update senior leadership on progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• At least 4 years of HR experience, including a minimum of 3 years managing M&A integrations or large-scale transformations.
• Experience in professional services or accounting firms is strongly preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of HR processes and M&A best practices, including HCM systems, legal and policy integration, and benefits harmonization.
• Proven ability to lead large-scale change initiatives that enhance engagement and minimize disruptions.
• Strong understanding of labor laws, HR compliance, and risk mitigation in the context of M&A.
• Capability to collaborate across various departments and lead multidisciplinary teams effectively.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on developing data-driven solutions.
• Outstanding communication skills at all organizational levels.
• Experience in integrating corporate cultures and fostering unity among merged teams.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
• Proficient in Workday, payroll systems, data migration, HR analytics and reporting tools, and Microsoft Planner or Wrike.
• A Master's degree or HR certification such as SHRM or SPHR is preferred.
