This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Oversee HRS public communication campaigns from inception to completion, including message development, distribution, promotion, analysis, and enhancement.
• Draft and disseminate press releases, media advisories, statements, spokesperson talking points, and reactive messaging in accordance with AP Style.
• Track news trends and identify relevant cardiac rhythm stories, clinical advancements, and public health events for HRS's response or promotion.
• Collaborate with HRS's external public relations partner on significant initiatives and critical communications.
• Implement web, SEO/Google Ads Grant, email, organic and paid social media, print, and onsite event content strategies.
• Capture and share content from HRStv and UpBeat TV at both HRS and external events.
• Monitor, analyze, and report on program and channel performance while pinpointing areas for optimization.
• Act as the staff lead for Heart Rhythm TV, which includes liaison duties for committees, preparation of agendas and materials, production, publishing, promotion, and sponsorship assistance.
• Manage the HRStv content calendar and coordinate interview scheduling, vendor engagement, video capture, editing, YouTube publishing, and promotion.
• Direct Marcomm communications for Heart Rhythm Advocates through social media posts, emails, blog articles, and newsletters.
• Provide support to the Heart Rhythm Advocates Communications Committee.
• A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related discipline is preferred; equivalent demonstrated experience will also be considered.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in communications or public relations, digital content marketing, and social media management is required.
• Proven ability in multi-channel campaign management is essential.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and WordPress is necessary.
• Familiarity with video editing software such as iMovie, Adobe, or Canva is required.
• Experience with platforms such as YouTube and Vimeo is essential.
• Knowledge of content marketing strategy, organic and paid social media, UTM tracking, SEO fundamentals, and email marketing is crucial.
• Demonstrated ability to write AP Style press releases, media advisories, and other public communications is required.
• Experience in drafting reactive statements and spokesperson talking points is necessary.
• Familiarity with PR Newswire or similar wire distribution services is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with YouTube, X, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok is essential.
• Experience with social media management platforms is required; Sprout Social is preferred.
• Experience with enterprise email service providers is required; Salesforce Marketing Cloud is preferred.
• Proficiency in Canva is preferred, along with the capability to produce professional, on-brand assets independently.
• Familiarity with GA4, Google for Nonprofits, YouTube Studio, native social analytics, and Sprout Social is important.
• Experience with Asana or a similar project management tool is required.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines independently is essential.
• Experience in nonprofit, association, or healthcare/medical fields is preferred but not mandatory.
