Manager, Market Operations – Global Derivatives

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Provide leadership and operational oversight for JLL's Global Derivatives sector.

• Supervise administrative systems, processes, and policies that facilitate daily operations.

• Collaborate with Derivatives Heads, Office Heads, Corporate Departments, and team members.

• Identify and implement enhancements to processes for improved efficiency.

• Offer recommendations for business planning and contribute to company-wide initiatives.

• Prepare strategic plans, marketing presentations, and conduct monthly business reviews.

• Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and analyze the performance of the previous year's budget.

• Manage relationships and contracts with both internal and external vendors and service providers.

• Handle invoice coding and processing, supplier setup, and inquiries related to remittance.

• Ensure data integrity in Salesforce and respond to requests for accounting information.

• Support revenue reconciliation, fee share credit reporting, accounts receivable tasks, and transaction-related inquiries.

• Collaborate with compliance resources and Derivatives Heads in relation to written supervisory policies.

• Organize information required for regulatory reporting.

• Assist the derivatives team with administrative tasks, equipment, office supplies, and resource requirements.

• Provide training and guidance on navigating JLL's systems.

• Supervise staff either directly or indirectly as necessary.

• Coordinate IT equipment, system access, provisioning and de-provisioning, and service tickets.

• Oversee office relocations, expansions, and upgrades, including contractor management and cost negotiations.

• Organize office and departmental activities, company events, staff appreciation events, and office relocations.

• Communicate new policies, procedures, and best practices to team members.

• Act as the primary business contact for HR, Accounting, Audit, Marketing, and IT.

• Maintain and update the US and Global Derivatives SharePoint sites.

• Collaborate with Marketing on events, press releases, newsletters, and JLL publications.

• Attend team and manager meetings, following up on action items.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related discipline is required.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in business operations or management is necessary.

• Ideally have experience within financial services, capital markets, or a professional services setting.

• Previous experience supporting a trading, treasury, or derivatives-related business is advantageous.

• Preferred familiarity with JLL's Accounting, Finance, and HR systems and processes.

• Proficient in Salesforce and SharePoint administration.

• Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint are required.

• Knowledge of accounts payable and invoicing systems is essential.

• Strong working knowledge of AI tools such as Claude or Copilot is preferred.

• Familiarity with financial services compliance frameworks and written supervisory procedures (WSPs) is beneficial.

• Exposure to derivatives, capital markets, or broker-dealer operations is preferred.

• Strong project management capabilities are essential.

• Experience in vendor negotiation and budget management is required.

• Effective management of cross-functional stakeholders across HR, IT, Marketing, Compliance, and Audit.

• Excellent judgment and discretion in handling confidential business and financial information.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
