This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the daily, weekly, and monthly US GAAP accounting responsibilities for the foreign acquisition, ensuring precision and promptness.
• Lead the month-end closing process, which includes reviewing account reconciliations, posting adjusting journal entries, consolidating data into the Hims & Hers’ NetSuite instance, and fulfilling assigned reviewer duties accurately and on schedule.
• Evaluate team deliverables with a focus on detail, identifying and rectifying errors, while enhancing processes to boost accuracy and efficiency.
• Confirm intercompany transactions and eliminations across subsidiaries.
• When necessary, assist the Australian-based accounting team in preparing statutory financial statements and coordinating with external auditors.
• Maintain and improve accounting documentation, policies, and internal controls.
• Take ownership of designated Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Act of 2002 key controls and ensure they are executed without deficiencies.
• Offer guidance, training, and mentorship to team members on both US GAAP and local accounting practices.
• Engage in due diligence and integration for new market launches and expansions.
• Champion process improvements and system upgrades to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Build strong cross-functional relationships with internal stakeholders, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of requests and projects.
• Act as a primary contact for relevant accounting issues, ensuring clear communication and escalation of issues as necessary.
• A minimum of 7 years of accounting experience, with preference given to candidates with Big-4 experience.
• Extensive knowledge of US GAAP; familiarity with IFRS or other non-US GAAP accounting standards is highly desirable.
• BA or BS degree in Accounting is required.
• CPA designation or active pursuit of CPA certification is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in managing international entities and handling multiple currencies.
• Proficiency in advanced Excel and ERP systems (NetSuite experience is a plus).
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Strong critical thinking abilities, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
• Proven capability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
• Prior experience in a public company setting and familiarity with SOX compliance is preferred.
