Manager, HR Operations

📋 Description

• Oversee the management of health and welfare benefits, retirement plans, and leave programs.

• Administer communications regarding new hires, annual open enrollment, and employee benefits.

• Collaborate with brokers and vendors to ensure efficient program administration.

• Monitor compliance with benefits, audits, and reporting obligations.

• Support the benefits strategy by analyzing utilization, trends, and costs.

• Work with Payroll to maintain accurate employee data and ensure timely processing.

• Supervise onboarding, offboarding, employee status changes, and record management.

• Manage HR documentation and maintain personnel file administration.

• Guarantee seamless end-to-end experiences for employees.

• Direct the daily administration and execution of HR operations.

• Develop, implement, and refine HR processes, policies, and procedures.

• Oversee HR operational projects and initiatives from planning to execution.

• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and provincial employment laws and regulations across the US and Canada.

• Maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee records in compliance with legal standards.

• Keep updated on changes to employment law and suggest necessary process updates.

• Collaborate with Legal and Finance on compliance-related projects.

• Manage the administration of HR systems, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and security of employee data.

• Oversee system configurations, workflows, security roles, reporting, and integrations.

• Lead enhancements and implementation projects for HR systems.

• Create dashboards and reports to facilitate decision-making.

• Partner with Payroll and IT to ensure seamless functionality of systems.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 5-8 years of HR experience, including a minimum of 3 years in progressive benefits, HR systems, and compliance roles.

• Required experience in startup and high-growth organizations; biotechnology experience is preferred.

• Proven experience in administering benefits, HR systems, and HR processes within a fast-paced, growing environment.

• Required experience supporting US multi-state employee populations; experience with Canadian employees is preferred.

• Strong understanding of HR operations, benefits administration, and employment law.

• Advanced expertise in HR systems and technology, including familiarity with HRIS platforms like Paylocity.

• Excellent analytical and project management abilities.

• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to data accuracy.

• Capability to manage multiple priorities and meet competing deadlines.

• Strong communication skills.
