Manager, Global Trade

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Formulate export and import strategies for the evaluation of international suppliers, issuance of purchase orders, and overseas manufacturing of defense and dual-use items.

• Create licensing strategies and offer guidance on intricate licensing approaches and program development.

• Deliver consistent interpretations of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR) to employees within the Business Unit.

• Prepare, submit, monitor, obtain, and manage all necessary export and import licenses, permits, and certifications from the U.S. government.

• Collaborate closely with internal clients to establish export and import approvals that facilitate the smooth export of technology, technical data, hardware, and services.

• Ensure thorough review of the project scope with relevant functions, stakeholders, and foreign entities before submission.

• Acquire signed agreements and other essential documentation from foreign parties.

• Provide program and stakeholder status updates for awareness.

• Review approvals to ensure that execution and deliverables are adequately considered.

• Oversee the daily execution of agreements and licenses, ensuring compliance with all activities under the agreements and licenses.

• Monitor authorizations for any changes that may affect them.

⛳️ Requirements

• Generally requires a University Degree and at least 8 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related discipline and a minimum of 5 years of experience.

• Familiarity with and application of U.S. government trade regulations including ITAR, EAR, Customs, ATF, etc.

• Proficient with DECCS, SNAP-R, OCR EASE, and/or SAP/GTS related systems.

• Experience in drafting, submitting, implementing, and managing agreements, licenses, General Correspondences, Third Party Transfers, intricate export strategies, and/or comparable requests.
