Manager, Global Markets

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Identify procurement inefficiencies and create solutions to tackle affordability challenges.

• Conduct analytical activities, such as demand forecasting, pricing evaluations, and assessments of market dynamics.

• Develop and execute market-shaping strategies aimed at enhancing procurement efficiency and the affordability of commodities.

• Assist in negotiations with pharmaceutical and diagnostic firms.

• Cultivate strong relationships with essential stakeholders.

• Collaborate with GMT leadership and CHAI teams to ensure alignment of strategies with overarching health system objectives.

• Create presentations, reports, and analyses to guide global policy decisions.

• Identify and propose new initiatives that align with strategic objectives.

• Contribute to business development activities by assisting in proposal writing.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 8 years of pertinent work experience.

• Strong preference for candidates with experience in a fast-paced private sector environment.

• Proven track record of successfully leading complex projects through all phases.

• Exceptional analytical skills.

• Experience in demand forecasting, pricing analysis, and market dynamics assessment.

• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

• Ability to think critically and solve problems in complex scenarios.

• Proficient in establishing and maintaining relationships with senior executives, government partners, and key stakeholders.

• Strong political awareness and diplomatic abilities.

• Demonstrated capacity to work across diverse cultural contexts, preferably with experience in Low- and Middle-Income Countries (LMICs).

• Willingness to travel internationally up to 40% of the time.

• Extensive knowledge of market shaping instruments, procurement processes, and donor priorities.

• Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
