This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Take ownership of global billing operations, ensuring precise and timely invoice creation that aligns with contract stipulations, pricing frameworks, and booking protocols.
• Oversee the entire invoicing lifecycle after a Closed Won deal, including billing configuration, validation, and delivery.
• Ensure consistency across Salesforce, contract stipulations, and NetSuite to reduce downstream errors and protect revenue.
• Act as the main escalation point for complex billing challenges, disputes, and exceptions.
• Lead the collections process, encompassing AR aging, follow-ups, and dispute resolution.
• Monitor and drive performance metrics such as DSO, overdue balances, and collection efficacy.
• Guarantee timely and accurate cash application and reconciliation.
• Own and continuously enhance billing and AR processes to promote scalability and efficiency.
• Identify and implement automation opportunities within systems and workflows.
• Standardize processes across various regions, entities, and customer segments.
• Collaborate with the Deal Desk and RevOps to ensure a smooth transition from deal structure to billing execution.
• Work alongside Sales and customer stakeholders to address payment delays and escalations.
• Partner with Revenue Accounting to ensure compliance with revenue recognition requirements and audit standards.
• Ensure that billing and AR processes are SOX-compliant and ready for audits.
• Oversee the execution and documentation of essential billing and AR controls.
• Assist with external audits, including documentation, walkthroughs, and issue resolution.
• Maintain adherence to global tax, invoicing, and regulatory obligations.
• Lead, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing Global Billing Operations team.
• Set clear goals, priorities, and performance expectations.
• Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and customer-centricity.
• 8+ years of experience in billing operations or finance operations, preferably within the SaaS or technology sectors.
• 3+ years of experience in people management.
• Strong expertise in Order to Cash processes.
• Proficient in NetSuite and Salesforce.
• Comprehensive understanding of billing procedures, invoicing frameworks, and collections workflows.
• Experience in a high-growth, complex deal environment.
• Familiarity with automation, AI, or process improvement initiatives.
