Manager, FP&A

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes, ensuring precision and alignment across all departments.

• Monitor and assess essential SaaS metrics, such as Margins, Net Dollar Retention (NDR), LTV:CAC, R&D utilization, Product ROI, and Rule of 40 to offer insightful analysis on business performance.

• Manage and enhance our FP&A platform (Planful), scenario planning, and automated reporting systems.

• Serve as a financial consultant to department leaders, assisting them in budget management and elucidating the financial implications of their strategic initiatives.

• Produce monthly "Board-ready" reporting packages that showcase variances, trends, and executive-level summaries.

• Support the Sales team by delivering data-driven insights regarding pricing and contract terms. You will adopt an agile, adaptable, and innovative approach to structuring deals that enhance win rates while preserving KPI margin targets.

• Supervise hosting expenses and gross margins, pinpointing opportunities for efficiency and cost reduction.

• Prepare financial projections, presentations, and relevant due diligence processes for investor relations, fundraising, and M&A endeavors.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5-7 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, ideally within high-growth SaaS or Fintech sectors.

• CPA designation is mandatory.

• Advanced skills in financial modeling and proficiency with FP&A tools (experience with Planful is a considerable advantage) and accounting software (Xero).

• An innate ability to link operational activities to financial results and a thorough approach to variance analysis.

• Capability to translate complex financial concepts into clear, succinct narratives for non-finance stakeholders.

• Comfort with the uncertainties of a growing company and a proactive mindset towards automating manual workflows (including the development and maintenance of AI agents).
