Manager, Financial Reporting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Oversee the preparation, review, and finalization of SEC filings (Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K)

• Create new disclosures in accordance with US GAAP and industry standards

• Prepare financial statements and cash flow reports, ensuring they accurately represent intricate accounting matters

• Manage the quarterly reporting cycle and collaborate with key stakeholders

• Act as a liaison with external auditors to ensure audits and reviews are completed in a timely manner

• Conduct research on peer disclosures while considering U.S. GAAP regulations

• Support the monthly accounting closing procedures and journal entry tasks

• Provide mentorship to junior accounting staff and assist with various ad hoc requests

• Continuously enhance the processes and controls related to SEC reporting

• Engage in special projects as they arise

⛳️ Requirements

• 5-8 years of progressive experience in accounting

• At least 4 years of direct experience in SEC reporting, preferably within a "Big 4" firm or a rapidly growing tech company

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

• Active CPA license is highly preferred

• In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP

• Proven experience in researching and drafting financial statements

• Proficient in SEC reporting software (such as Workiva, Intelligize), ERP systems (like Oracle Fusion), and Excel

• A self-motivated individual capable of working independently and meeting deadlines

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

• Highly organized with strong time management skills and attention to detail
