This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• BoxPower is in search of an FP&A Director to establish and manage the company's financial planning, analysis, and performance management functions.
• You will be responsible for the financial models, the annual budget, the operating forecast, and the financial reporting provided to the executive team and Board of Directors.
• Take charge of designing and constructing financial forecast models that support various scenarios.
• Ensure the application of ASC 606 revenue recognition across all project-based revenue streams.
• Lead the annual budgeting process from initiation through departmental negotiations to board approval.
• Prepare the financial section of the quarterly board package for the Executive team's review.
• Manage the investor data room and act as the primary finance contact for investors and lenders.
• Assist in establishing the capital allocation framework and lead strategic option analyses for significant business decisions.
• Own the bottoms-up revenue forecast based on CRM pipeline data and BOM.
• Set the roadmap for FP&A tooling and process maturity as the company grows.
• A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Over 7 years of progressive FP&A experience, including at least 3 years in a senior FP&A Manager, Finance Director, or a comparable position.
• Expertise in financial modeling: three-statement models, DCF/IRR/NPV, as well as scenario and sensitivity analysis.
• Proven ownership of an annual budgeting process, long-range planning, and rolling forecasts in a growth-stage company.
• Experience in preparing board- or investor-quality financial reports: you have presented to a board, created an investor data room, or supported a financing process.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Strong data skills: comfortable extracting information from ERP systems, creating automated reports, and working with financial data at the transaction level.
