This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the SOX Strategy & Execution.

• Organize the annual SOX certification process, which encompasses risk assessment and scoping.

• Supervise SOX testing (including IT dependencies) and guarantee high-quality, defensible workpapers.

• Assess control deficiencies, conduct root cause analysis, and evaluate the impact on financial reporting.

• Reinforce Controls & Propel Improvement.

• Monitor remediation efforts, confirm completion, and propose process enhancements.

• Assist with SOX integration for newly acquired locations.

• Counsel business partners on control design, documentation, and financial reporting risks.

• Foster Efficiency & Innovation.

• Discover opportunities to enhance controls through data analytics, automation, and emerging technologies.

• Contribute to the development of evolving methodologies and best practices.

• Lead Ethics & Investigations.

• Observe fraud and ethics trends utilizing proactive risk indicators.

• Oversee the intake, triage, and investigation of ethical concerns.

• Provide concise, executive-ready investigation summaries and monitor remediation efforts.

• Cultivate & Develop Talent.

• Guide, mentor, and develop a team of SOX and controls professionals.


⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in leading and developing teams in SOX, internal controls, audit, or financial compliance (typically 6+ years).

• Strong foundation in SOX/ICFR and financial controls, with the capacity to guide rather than manage day-to-day operations.

• Demonstrated capability to influence leadership and achieve alignment among cross-functional partners.

• Experience in supporting ethics, fraud, or compliance investigations with sound judgment and discretion.

• Strategic mindset paired with robust problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.

• Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to present clear, executive-ready insights.

• CPA certification is required.
