Manager, Field Technical Service Engineering – Surgical

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Deliver comprehensive service and sales assistance for all Alcon equipment.

• Foster strong working relationships with customers, field sales personnel, clinical teams, and other regional managers to ensure customer needs are fulfilled.

• Sustain a high level of customer satisfaction by providing prompt solutions to complex issues.

• Achieve or surpass annual regional objectives based on established metrics.

• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements applicable to the region's Field Service Engineers.

• Meet financial targets and manage expenses within budgetary constraints.

• Collaborate with the internal sales team to support service contracts and time-material revenue.

• Accompany direct reports to evaluate their skills, offer feedback, and provide coaching.

• Recruit, develop, train, motivate, and lead a team of Field Service Engineers.

• Execute the team’s work objectives, conduct performance assessments, and enforce disciplinary measures in line with Alcon guidelines.

• Undertake additional tasks, monthly reporting, and projects as directed by service management.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +13 years; Associate's +9 years; Master's +2 years; PhD +1 year).

• Proficiency in reading, writing, understanding, and communicating fluently in English.

• 5 years of relevant experience.

• 3 years of proven leadership experience.

• Must hold a current valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for the past three years.

• Candidates should be capable of working independently from a home office 40% of the time and in the field 60%, including travel within the assigned region and overnight stays as necessary.

• Willingness to travel overnight up to 50% of the time or as required.
