This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Complete ownership of field programs: Strategize and execute Engine's comprehensive field marketing initiatives, which encompass event selection, audience targeting and recruitment, content development, on-site execution, and follow-up activities, along with pipeline reporting. You will manage the calendar and be responsible for meeting targets.
• Traditional field events: Organize customer dinners, sporting event suites, activations, and regional roadshows. Collaborate with go-to-market leadership to ensure the event mix aligns with pipeline objectives and territorial priorities.
• Innovative in-person activations: Discover, evaluate, and expand unconventional methods to engage with potential buyers, such as job site visits, office drop-ins, and other activations that reach our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) in their environments. Approach with a test-and-learn mindset: formulate hypotheses, establish Minimum Desirable Experience (MDE), conduct post-event evaluations, and decide whether to discontinue or scale initiatives.
• Destination marketing organization (DMO) and partnership management: Oversee Engine's relationships with regional travel organizations and partners, and develop a playbook to replicate the model in additional locations.
• Pipeline accountability: Influence net-new logos, accelerate opportunities, and expand customer base sourced or influenced through field efforts. Provide accurate post-event reports to sales, growth, and executive teams.
• Collaboration and support for sales: Maintain close alignment with Account Executives (AEs), Account Managers (AMs), and sales leadership on account targeting, pre-event preparations, and post-event follow-ups.
• Leadership of the team: Manage and nurture a team of two while remaining actively involved as a senior individual contributor. Establish standards for program excellence, elevate creative quality, and create career pathways as the function evolves.
• 5+ years of experience in field marketing, event marketing, or demand generation, including at least 1 year in a team management role or operating as a player-coach.
• Extensive experience in field marketing: you have managed a calendar from start to finish, achieved pipeline targets, and understand the distinction between hosting an event and executing a full program.
• Proficient in AI execution: you can independently produce copy, manage lists, and create follow-up sequences, with tools like Claude or GPT seamlessly integrated into your workflows.
• Skilled in experimentation: you know how to assess risks, define success metrics, and transform a one-time activation into a sustainable playbook, raising standards when necessary.
• Strong analytical skills: you are comfortable navigating Salesforce and business intelligence tools, can analyze a pipeline funnel, and are adept at discerning which metrics to rely on and which to scrutinize.
• Experience in sales collaboration: you have worked closely with AEs and sales leadership, understanding how to effectively drive account targeting and follow-through without wasting resources.
• Systems thinking capability: you can differentiate between proven strategies worth scaling and experimental approaches worth testing, and you know how to sequence both effectively throughout a calendar.
• Hands-on leadership: you not only set the strategy but also manage the execution of the run-of-show personally.
• Competitive base salary aligned with the role and experience, along with opportunities for bonuses, commissions, and equity.
