This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Act as a player-coach by evenly distributing your time between managing the federal SE team and directly leading pre-sales initiatives for key agency and partner accounts.
• Mentor and lead a team of federal sales engineers, establishing benchmarks for demonstrations, proofs of concept, and technical discovery processes.
• Collaborate with federal sales leadership to ensure comprehensive coverage across civilian, defense, intelligence, and law enforcement accounts, tailored to the specific missions and environments of each agency.
• Transform data into actionable mission outcomes. Utilize SpyCloud breach, infostealer/malware-derived, credential, and identity data to aid in investigations, fraud detection, account takeover prevention, and adversary tracking for particular customer scenarios.
• Foster channel and partner relationships with public sector resellers, system integrators, and solution architects through direct subject matter expert support.
• Oversee proofs of concept and pilots from inception through to outcomes, translating discoveries into clear, customer-ready results for both technical and mission-focused audiences.
• Support engagements in secure environments, including SCIF settings when necessary, utilizing your TS/SCI clearance.
• Identify product gaps and gather field feedback to relay back to product and engineering teams, influencing the federal roadmap.
• Represent SpyCloud at federal and defense conferences, agency days, and industry events.
• Over 8 years of experience in cybersecurity pre-sales, specifically with federal or public sector accounts.
• In-depth understanding of the federal market, including the missions, operational environments, and procurement behaviors of the Department of Defense, federal law enforcement, and the Intelligence Community.
• More than 4 years of experience managing sales engineering teams.
• Active Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) clearance and U.S. citizenship are mandatory.
• Must be located in the DC metro area.
• Experience with OSINT tools and tradecraft is essential.
• Familiarity with federal procurement processes, contract vehicles, and the public sector buying cycle.
• Proven experience in tracking KPIs and developing health dashboards to monitor team performance.
• Willingness to travel as necessary throughout the region and to agency locations.
• Proficiency in Python or similar programming languages.
