Manager, Expense Reimbursement

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee all managerial responsibilities for the Expense Coordinators within the Travel and Reimbursement team, including but not limited to staffing, training, and development.

• Collaborate with the department's HR representative for timekeeping and other related tasks.

• Facilitate team meetings.

• Provide feedback on performance and conduct individual meetings with direct reports.

• Reconcile all corporate card payments monthly, utilizing Workday to ensure accurate posting of payments.

• Manage the setup, termination, reconciliation, and compliance of the credit card program.

• Work closely with the procurement team to guarantee compliance with user Procurement Cards.

• Evaluate UAMS employee travel reimbursement requests for adherence to state and UAMS policies, regulations, and sound business practices. Responsible for the accurate and timely processing of such reimbursement requests.

• Ensure the department fosters positive relationships with customers, vendors, rental companies, and travel agencies. This includes, but is not limited to, providing training, developing support documentation, and offering guidance as needed.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field plus 4 years of pertinent experience, or an associate’s degree in a relevant field plus 6 years of pertinent experience, or a high school diploma or equivalent plus 8 years of pertinent experience, which includes 2 years in a lead or supervisory capacity.

• Ability to engage positively with a diverse range of personalities.

• Proficient in communication skills.

• Basic understanding of generally accepted business practices.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Ability to work 40 hours per week and travel as necessary.

• Position necessitates sitting at a desk and using a computer and phone on a daily basis.
