This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Spearhead the comprehensive development and implementation of event programs accommodating between 400 to 5,000+ participants in person and 100,000 virtually, blending strategic leadership with hands-on program management.
• Integrate strategic oversight with direct execution, including the creation, curation, and management of content for key segments and high-priority events.
• Direct daily operations related to program and speaker development, ensuring alignment with PMI’s procedures, policies, and best practices in the event industry.
• Take ownership of the content strategy, speaker selection, and program flow for specific initiatives, while assisting your team in achieving their objectives.
• Offer both operational and strategic direction for programming activities, ensuring adherence to schedules and budgetary constraints.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a global team, fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing culture.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., Marketing, OCEO, Volunteer Programs) to align objectives and deliver cohesive, audience-centered programming.
• Contribute to the long-term programming strategy by identifying emerging trends, new speaker talent, and innovative learning formats.
• Continuously evaluate and enhance processes to improve efficiency, decrease costs, and elevate the quality of programs.
• Engage effectively with executive stakeholders, presenting complex concepts, influencing decisions, and building trusted relationships.
• Oversee large session rehearsals and manage intricate AV setups to ensure flawless delivery.
• Adapt to working across various time zones and occasionally outside standard business hours, including weekends and travel as required.
• Over 7 years of experience in designing or delivering educational conferences and training events, both in-person and virtual.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Organizational Behavior, or a related business field.
• Industry certifications such as PMP, CAPM, CMP, CPLP, and DES are highly preferred.
• Proficient in content design, learning needs analysis, and stakeholder collaboration to meet audience expectations effectively.
• Strong grasp of adult learning principles and the ability to translate them into impactful programming.
• Outstanding interpersonal and relationship-building abilities across diverse global teams and stakeholders.
• Strategic thinker capable of analyzing data, managing complex projects, and proposing innovative solutions.
• Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally (approximately 25%), including weekends and holidays.
• Proficient in English, the business language of PMI.
• Willing to travel 10-25% of the time.
