This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +2 more states.
• Oversee all aspects of large-scale event execution (1,200-2,000 attendees), which includes planning conventions/expos, negotiating complex contracts, and leading overall logistics.
• Exhibit strong leadership and mentoring abilities to guide the team, establish strategic direction, and engage all stakeholders effectively.
• Utilize a rich reservoir of creativity while maintaining a solid capacity to assess risk versus impact prior to implementing innovative concepts.
• Create the imaginative vision, environmental design, and overarching theme for the annual multi-day thought leadership/user conference, ensuring the design delivers a comprehensive and engaging brand experience that meets all stakeholder goals and success metrics.
• Define essential messages, strategic objectives, and measurable success metrics to act as guiding principles for all event initiatives.
• Supervise the detailed logistical planning and flawless execution of the approximately 2,000-attendee, multi-dimensional conference.
• Prepare, propose, and manage event budgets, marketing strategies, and operational goals, ensuring execution aligns with approved financial and strategic frameworks.
• Manage events strategically as integrated marketing campaigns rather than standalone activities, collaborating with the event marketing manager to establish communication, design, messaging, and engagement strategies.
• Track promotional schedules and registration targets, working alongside the marketing team to effectively promote key event components in a timely manner.
• Implement formal measurement practices and success metrics; ensure smooth lead flow management and accurate post-event reporting.
• Mentor and guide Trimble colleagues to consistently uphold and reflect the company's service standards and procedures during event execution.
• Foster and manage cross-sector collaboration to cultivate a business culture that encourages sharing and leveraging event best practices.
• At least 12 years of demonstrable experience in managing complex, predominantly in-person events.
• Proven capability to lead events from start to finish, overseeing a distributed team of internal staff and external vendors.
• Proficient in independent budget creation, management, and comprehensive contract negotiation.
• Outstanding project management abilities, ensuring timely delivery and reliable execution of all project phases.
• Willingness and capability to travel for venue investigations and manage in-person events.
• Bachelor's Degree.
• Proficient in Google Workspace (Sheets, Slides, Drive, Docs).
• Familiar with project management tools, particularly Monday.com.
• Experience in utilizing AI tools to boost efficiency and refine event deliverables.
