• Serve as the Digital Category Specialist and trusted advisor for our retailers and merchants, aiding in strategic business and site planning to achieve eCommerce objectives such as top-line sales growth, online market penetration, and category share targets for key categories.
• Deliver objective, thorough, consumer-focused insights and actionable recommendations by leveraging tools including retailer data, internal and syndicated data sources, digital search and site analytics, and shopper insights. Tools used may include Luminate, Digital Landscapes, Madrid, Circana IRI eMarket Insights, Numerator, Flywheel toolset, and in-store execution opportunities.
• Guide the team in executing site merchandising strategies and operational elements, which encompass overarching site planning, features, digital food aisle merchandising, wireframes, paid and organic search standards, tentpole hubs, and pinning initiatives (e.g., back to school) among others.
• Work collaboratively across various functions (merchants, site merchandising, etc.) with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure the alignment and successful implementation of digital category initiatives.
• Spearhead change management for eCategory initiatives, guaranteeing the adoption of new processes, playbooks, training, tools, and methodologies across category management.
• Support the development of insights and capabilities related to e-shelving/taxonomy, attributes, tentpole merchandising/pinning, visual navigation, substitutions, variation strategies, and macro site planning for both paid and organic search standards.
• Compile findings and cross-retailer data to identify best practices and growth opportunities for the category across various retailers.
• A strong passion for high performance and digital success.
• Significant experience in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) within Sales, Category Leadership, Insights, or eCommerce.
• Highly analytical with the ability to utilize data sources such as retailer data, internal/syndicated data sources, digital search and site analytics tools, and shopper insights (e.g., Scintilla, Digital Landscapes, Madrid, Circana IRI eMarket Insights, Numerator).
• Excellent storytelling skills through strategic use of visual tools like PowerPoint and Mekko, complemented by a customer-centric presentation style.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities, alongside intellectual curiosity and a proven track record of managing multiple assignments and prioritizing effectively.
• Ability to excel in uncertain situations with a self-motivated, proactive approach, striving to continuously innovate and shape the future of digital category management.
