Manager, Delivery Solutions Architects – Emerging Enterprise

📋 Description

• Build and Lead a High-Performing Team: Recruit, mentor, and develop DSAs capable of guiding EE customers towards successful production across a diverse array of Data, AI, and ML workloads.

• Accelerate Path to Production: Motivate your team to reduce friction, eliminate obstacles, streamline onboarding processes, and empower customers to deploy high-impact workloads into production more swiftly.

• Maintain Technical Excellence: Ensure that you and your team remain at the forefront of the field with advanced knowledge of Databricks and the wider Data and AI ecosystem, continually learning and achieving relevant certifications.

• Collaborate for Customer Growth: Work closely with Sales, Solutions Architects, Support, Product Engineering, and Professional Services to develop integrated customer plans that promote adoption and yield measurable ROI.

• Champion Operational Rigor: Create systems for tracking, forecasting, and communicating workload progress, usage growth, and overall customer health.

• Be a Thought Leader and Sponsor: Act as the technical sponsor for select EE accounts, engaging with technical leads and executives to shape large-scale customer success strategies.

• Contribute to the DSA Practice: Lead initiatives that improve consistency, scalability, and innovation throughout the DSA organization.


⛳️ Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in customer-facing technical positions (Architecture, Field Engineering, or related roles focused on Data and AI), including a minimum of 3 years in leadership roles.

• Proficient in cloud-based Lakehouse architectures, particularly in guiding customers through migrations and modernization by leveraging cloud-native architectural principles.

• Demonstrated success in expediting workloads to production and enabling ongoing success on cloud-native platforms.

• In-depth understanding of and capability to navigate complex architectural discussions concerning distributed data systems and cloud-native platforms.

• Practical experience with SQL, an Object-Oriented Programming Language (preferably Python, SQL, or Scala), code reviews, and architecture design sessions.

• Specialized knowledge in Data and AI fields, including Analytics, Data Warehousing, ETL, Streaming, and/or ML/AI productionization.

• Familiarity with hyperscaler platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is highly desirable.

• Ability to manage escalations, forecast usage growth, and operationalize customer success programs effectively.

• Excellent communication skills and executive presence; serve as a trusted advisor to technical leaders and C-level stakeholders.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).

• Willingness to travel up to 30% as necessary.
