Manager, Data Management – ROPS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Supervise the design, upkeep, and governance of ROPS data marts (e.g., Netezza, BigQuery)

• Collaborate with IT to establish requirements for data ingestion and transformation; oversee the integration of data into our Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW)

• Implement and uphold data governance standards, which include documentation of data lineage, creation of data dictionaries, and enforcement of access controls

• Serve as the main point of contact between business stakeholders and technical teams to convert business requirements into technical data specifications

• Discover opportunities to automate manual data processes and enhance the efficiency of data delivery to the Village

• Establish clear tactical and operational objectives for the team

• Conduct regular performance reviews (PDRs), offer constructive feedback, and manage individual performance to ensure the team's success

• Facilitate growth by recognizing and mentoring each team member based on their specific needs and career goals.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of experience in data management, analytics, or business intelligence

• More than 1 year of experience in a supervisory or team lead position (preferred)

• Solid understanding of SQL and data warehousing principles (e.g., Netezza, BigQuery)

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
