This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee and expand a portfolio of high-value partnerships ($500K+) while supporting the overall team stewardship and cultivation objectives for some of UUSA’s most significant partnerships.
• Collaborate with UNICEF and receive strategic direction from the Director to formulate and implement strategic engagement plans aimed at enhancing relationships, boosting revenue, and broadening collaboration.
• Act as the main contact for specific partnership pillars, which include regional and country-level partnerships, managing solicitation, stewardship, reporting, and ongoing communications, while ensuring oversight of due diligence, grants management, and contracting.
• Work alongside the Director and partnership team to identify and create new opportunities for partnership expansion, including cross-programmatic and global initiatives.
• Represent UNICEF USA in pertinent external meetings, gatherings, and partner interactions.
• Contribute to internal planning processes and initiatives across the team.
• Function as a key liaison between internal and external teams, including Marketing & Communications and Advocacy.
• In collaboration with the Director and Marketing and Communications teams:
• Formulate and implement a cohesive communications strategy that aligns with partnership objectives.
• Develop and execute a thought leadership strategy to engage partners on prioritized thematic areas.
• Oversee the production of high-quality materials intended for partners, such as presentations, reports, messaging, and campaign assets.
• Identify and pursue opportunities to elevate partnerships through global platforms, media, and significant events.
• Prepare senior leadership and partners for external engagements by providing briefings, talking points, and strategic messaging.
• Lead the preparation and coordination for UUSA/UNICEF partner engagement during prominent global events (e.g., UNGA, CSW, and other gatherings), managing timelines, deliverables, and workflows across diverse stakeholders.
• Work with internal teams and partners to facilitate leadership visits, program visits, and partner events to enhance engagement.
• Promote advocacy and youth engagement initiatives in partnership with internal teams.
• Discover opportunities to align partners with UNICEF’s policy and advocacy priorities.
• Bachelor’s degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in partnerships, fundraising, communications, international development, or a related field.
• Proven experience managing high-level external stakeholders and partnerships.
• Strong strategic thinking capabilities with a talent for converting ideas into actionable plans.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience in creating external-facing materials.
• Experience working within a matrixed organization and collaborating across various teams.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Knowledge of global development, advocacy, and nonprofit fundraising landscapes; familiarity with global public health is a plus.
• Experience with end-to-end events, gatherings, or high-profile engagements is preferred.
• High level of professionalism, diplomacy, and stakeholder management expertise.
• Experience working with large groups of members/volunteers is a plus.
• Willingness to work some weekends and evenings for key events and engagements, including some domestic and international business-related travel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM/project management tools.
