This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pakistan.
• Accountable for the respective business/function that represents the core banking program.
• Conduct business analysis to reduce customizations while enhancing global consistency and standardization of products across various regions.
• Oversee project scope and manage changes based on approved requests.
• Collaborate with various interdisciplinary teams and senior management across departments.
• Drive significant financial impact through optimal automation.
• Address compliance and risk implications effectively.
• Define, design, and finalize test cases and plans for the unit.
• Engage with stakeholders from different business units and regions.
• Ensure robust project governance for all activities.
• Deliver project outcomes in alignment with agreed timelines and budgets.
• Plan and execute multiple rounds of testing prior to implementation.
• Maintain thorough documentation of all processes, including any changes.
• Adapt Program Management to an Agile Working model.
• Cultivate talent specializing in the new core banking platform for Mashreq.
• Align Technology, COEs, Country Ops Heads, PMO, Compliance, Risk, and ISG with the challenges and workstreams involved in implementing the Core upgrade.
• Create a comprehensive project plan complete with a clear RACI matrix.
• Leverage strong interpersonal skills to assess issues, analyze options, and navigate diverse perspectives.
• Execute the program's strategy by minimizing customization and adhering to the "hollow the Core" concept within the project timeline.
• Provide thought leadership and implement best practices along with innovative solutions in banking operations.
• Manage a cross-functional team across various locations while ensuring consistency in tasks.
• Design processes and controls to guarantee on-time and on-budget project delivery within acceptable risk tolerances.
• Develop, manage, and provide business scenarios and vision for Retail Products implementation (including mortgages) while clearly communicating the acceptance criteria.
• Possess comprehensive understanding of Retail products (including mortgages), such as the elements necessary for loan processing and disbursal.
• Ensure compliance and lead projects to meet regulatory requirements for the implementation and transformation of retail products.
• Lead and possess understanding of the Digital journey onboarding, integration, implementation, and transformation for retail products with core platforms.
• Over 10 years of experience in the banking or financial services industry, particularly in large-scale core banking transformations (preferably Flexcube).
• Proven experience in managing core banking transformation projects.
• Experience in implementing and supporting core banking systems.
• Demonstrated success in system integrations and data migrations.
• Experience in leading and managing cross-functional teams.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, including senior management, IT, and business units.
• Strong leadership capabilities to drive transformation and achieve strategic objectives.
• Comprehensive understanding of banking operations, products, and services.
• Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements relevant to the banking sector.
• Familiarity with financial instruments and markets.
• In-depth knowledge of core banking software and platforms.
• Awareness of emerging technologies and trends within core banking.
• Understanding of system integration and data migration methodologies.
• Proficiency in project planning, scheduling, and monitoring.
• Capable of managing project risks and issues effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
