Manager, Business Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Accountable for developing and overseeing standardized policies and procedures related to patient billing and collections.

• Ensures compliance with HIPAA privacy regulations for designated entities.

• Acts as a vital member of the Revenue Management Team.

• Serves as a subject matter expert (SME) on all aspects of billing and collections.

• Provides support, updates, and guidance to both internal and external stakeholders regarding billing and collections matters.

• Proposes and implements enhancements to the Billing and Collection processes.

• Stays informed about all federal, state, and local rules, regulations, and laws impacting patient billing and collection activities.

• Develops and executes policies and procedures to guarantee accurate and timely billing and collections for services rendered.

• Trains Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs) on appropriate business office policies and procedures.

• Conducts annual assessments of business office policies and processes.

• Evaluates the effectiveness of billing systems.

• Identifies, trains, and implements preferred billing systems at Centers.

• Aids in managing HIPAA, Compliance, Licensure, and Chart Audits.

• Regularly reviews claims to ensure ASCs adhere to necessary Medicare Rules and Regulations.

• Assesses the billing and collection system of potential acquisitions and delivers a written report of findings and recommendations.

• Performs additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.

• At least 5 years of experience in healthcare billing is mandatory.

• Familiarity with Ambulatory Surgery Center operations is preferred.
