This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assume complete responsibility for our intricate operational processes, encompassing everything from initial planning and scheduling to final execution.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and act as the primary point of contact for both internal (Development, QA, Product) and external stakeholders.
• Design, maintain, and enhance tools and scripts using SQL, shell, and Python to automate data verification, environment settings, and other manual tasks within operational runbooks.
• Oversee and manage all process documentation, including runbooks, playscripts, and timeline templates, ensuring they are precise, current, and easily navigable for the team.
• Actively monitor the execution of operational runs in real-time, troubleshoot issues as they occur, and offer technical assistance to both internal and external teams.
• Conduct thorough data analysis and create reports to assess process performance, pinpoint bottlenecks, and guide strategic decisions for process enhancement.
• Create tools and utilities to automate various elements of our operational procedures, ranging from simple SQL data checks to extensive Jenkins jobs and intricate analysis & reporting tools.
• Coordinate and manage the execution of operational processes with both internal and external teams.
• Provide regular updates to stakeholders internally and externally.
• Propel continuous improvements of operational processes through a mix of retrospectives, analysis, automation, and corrective actions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent level of practical experience.
• Over 5 years of experience in a technical operations, QA, DevOps, or similar capacity.
• Expertise in SQL, including experience with complex queries and data manipulation.
• Strong scripting capabilities (e.g., Python / shell) for automation and tool development.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills along with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities, enabling effective coordination with diverse teams.
• Proven experience managing complex, multi-step processes with multiple dependencies (preferred).
• Familiarity with project management methodologies or tools (e.g., Jira, Asana) (preferred).
• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Splunk, Grafana) (preferred).
• Previous experience in a customer-facing or customer-support role (preferred).
