This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +1 more state.
• Assist the Industrials sector in business development initiatives for major clients by recognizing, cultivating, and expanding business prospects.
• Aid in identifying target prospects within priority markets and spearhead outreach strategies to enhance the sales pipeline for both existing and new accounts.
• Create and maintain detailed account maps for key clients, outlining essential departments and stakeholders.
• Foster and sustain strong relationships with prospects and clients, as well as key decision-makers across various seniority levels (e.g., managers, directors, VP, C-level) and functions.
• Develop supporting pitch materials and engage with potential clients through email, phone, and face-to-face interactions.
• Prepare and present persuasive presentations to clients that showcase the value of GLG's offerings.
• Collaborate with sales leadership to drive commercial success, formulate account plans, and regularly engage with clients to articulate the firm's value proposition while uncovering new growth opportunities within the GLG product suite.
• Log and monitor sales pipeline opportunities in the CRM, adhere to all sales-related processes, and provide clear, accurate updates to the team and senior management (e.g., KPI reporting).
• Regularly engage with internal cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, legal, compliance, finance, IT) to align stakeholders and ensure the effective execution of all business development activities.
• Work closely with GLG project teams to assist in the execution and delivery of research projects, offering guidance and support as necessary.
• Collaborate with GLG's research teams to identify new areas of opportunity and enhance GLG's service product offerings.
• Stay informed on industry news and significant client developments, using this insight to pinpoint potential new business opportunities.
• Organize important internal and external client meetings, including logistics and activities for business trips.
• Travel to client locations regularly to establish and nurture long-term client relationships.
• 2-5 years of experience in a sales role (e.g., inside sales, new business development).
• Preferred but not required experience in relevant sectors such as oil/gas, manufacturing, construction, or chemicals.
• Background in market research or consulting services.
• Experience in subscription account management positions.
• Proven history of developing account plans and achieving successful renewals.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism at the highest level.
• Proven ability and initiative to manage increasing responsibilities over time.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and sales support tools (e.g., Groove, SalesLoft).
