This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +3 more states.
• Implement communication strategies for federal and postal health plans, effectively translating business and membership growth objectives into clear, consistent, and compliant messaging.
• Create and distribute member communications, such as newsletters, letters, postcards, brochures, presentations, website content, and digital materials.
• Oversee Open Enrollment communications, including materials for the Mail Handlers Benefit Plan (MHBP) Open Season Seminar, presentations, webinars, and member collateral.
• Assist with client meetings, in-person events, webinars, and virtual events by preparing presentation materials and attending/hosting as required.
• Develop training and presentation materials for field service representatives and open enrollment volunteers to ensure consistent execution.
• Verify that all communications meet internal standards and external regulations; manage review and approval processes and conduct quality checks for accuracy, brand alignment, and appropriateness.
• Collaborate across functions with strategy, compliance, legal, marketing, account management, and external vendors to provide timely, integrated communications.
• Manage the procurement of promotional items and branded materials to support outreach, events, and enrollment initiatives.
• 5+ years of experience in health insurance or a related industry.
• Health Insurance License is required (or a 90-day period to obtain one).
• Proven capability to collaborate effectively across communications, sales, and marketing teams to achieve results in line with shared business objectives.
• 3+ years of experience in a communications role.
• Demonstrated proficiency in writing and editing across various communication formats, with the ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines.
• Strong skills in execution and delivery, including planning, implementing, and supporting communications initiatives from start to finish.
