This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +5 more states.
• Supervise analysts engaged in the review, triage, disposition, and escalation of SAM alerts.
• Oversee alerts produced by Actimize and FCRM transaction monitoring systems, including manual referrals.
• Take ownership of operational performance concerning alert volumes, aging, dispositions, regulatory responsiveness, SLAs, and quality benchmarks.
• Collaborate with Cases, Compliance, Technology, Data Analytics, Program Management, and Assurance teams.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of BSA/AML policies, procedures, desktop procedures, and controls.
• Support customer due diligence, sanctions screening, and the identification of suspicious activities.
• Contribute to BSA/AML risk assessments across various products, services, customers, and geographic regions.
• Ensure alerts are thoroughly reviewed, documented, and handled in accordance with policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Escalate alerts to the Cases team, particularly those necessitating Enhanced Due Diligence.
• Manage 314(a) information requests and list screening processes.
• Monitor queues and workload distribution, ensuring SLAs and backlogs are effectively managed.
• Lead, mentor, and manage the performance of analysts.
• Conduct and oversee quality reviews of alert dispositions.
• Compile and present KRIs and KPIs for management and Board reporting purposes.
• Translate operational data into risk-focused narratives that align with OCC expectations.
• Support root cause analysis, control-effectiveness assessments, gap identification, and risk-based remediation efforts.
• Collaborate on the tuning and optimization of SAM rules, alert quality and false-positive evaluations, and the governance, testing, and documentation of rule changes.
• Maintain SAM procedures, checklists, and reference materials.
• Facilitate analyst training, quality assurance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Professional certifications such as CAMS are preferred.
• Significant experience in BSA/AML operations, transaction monitoring, and SAM alert review within a regulated financial institution.
• Proven experience in leading or supervising analysts.
• Familiarity with Actimize, FCRM, and enterprise transaction monitoring systems.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational capabilities.
• Ability to manage queues, SLAs, and staff capacity effectively.
