This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee global billing operations, guaranteeing precise and prompt invoice generation in accordance with contract terms, pricing models, and booking policies.
• Manage the complete invoicing lifecycle after Closed Won, encompassing billing setup, validation, and delivery.
• Ensure synchronization among Salesforce, contract terms, and NetSuite to reduce downstream errors and revenue impact.
• Act as the main escalation point for intricate billing matters, disputes, and exceptions.
• Lead collections processes, including accounts receivable aging, follow-ups, and dispute resolution.
• Monitor and enhance performance against key metrics such as Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), overdue balances, and collection effectiveness.
• Ensure timely and accurate cash application and reconciliation processes.
• Lead and manage month-end close activities, including the preparation and review of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and revenue flux commentary.
• Conduct and review contract analyses under ASC 606, assessing performance obligations, variable considerations, SSP allocation, and pricing adjustments.
• Stay updated on ASC 606/IFRS15 and related US GAAP authoritative literature; perform and document technical accounting research as required.
• Serve as the primary liaison between billing and revenue, ensuring contract setup and billing schedules align with recognition requirements and downstream reporting.
• Act as a key escalation resource for revenue accounting, processes, and deal-related issues across the Company's products, pricing, and non-routine transactions.
• Assist in the annual SSP analysis and allocation for multi-element arrangements in collaboration with the Director of Revenue Accounting.
• Manage deal reviews and pre-booking validations by identifying billing structures that may influence revenue recognition outcomes.
• Take ownership of and continuously enhance billing, accounts receivable, and revenue processes to promote scalability and efficiency.
• Identify and implement automation opportunities across systems and workflows.
• Standardize processes across regions, entities, and customer segments.
• Ensure that billing, accounts receivable, and revenue processes are compliant with SOX and ready for audits.
• Oversee the execution and documentation of key billing and accounts receivable controls.
• Support external audits, including documentation, walkthroughs, and issue resolution.
• Maintain adherence to global tax, invoicing, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team.
• Set clear goals, priorities, and performance expectations.
• Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and customer focus.
• Over 7 years of experience in billing operations, revenue accounting, or finance operations, ideally within SaaS or technology sectors.
• More than 3 years of experience in people management or team leadership.
• Strong expertise in Order to Cash and Revenue Accounting.
• Proficient experience with NetSuite and Salesforce.
• Background in automation, AI, or process improvement initiatives.
