Manager, AI Engineering – AI & Business Tech Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and develop a distributed team of AI engineers.

• Serve as a player-coach by reviewing architecture and contributing to design.

• Define and implement the technical roadmap for the AI Engineering team.

• Design and deliver end-to-end agentic systems.

• Build and enhance our internal AI platform.

• Collaborate with leaders from Finance & Supply Chain Systems.

• Work closely with peer leaders in Enterprise Architecture.

• Advocate for modern AI engineering practices.

• Establish OKRs for the team and track progress.

• Attract and recruit top-tier AI engineering talent.

• Contribute to the planning of the AI & Business Technology Engineering leadership team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience as a software engineering manager.

• Hands-on expertise in modern AI/ML systems.

• Practical experience in building or managing agentic systems.

• Background in designing internal developer platforms or productivity tools.

• A well-defined perspective on AI governance and safety.

• Strong software engineering fundamentals in at least one production language.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Experience in hiring and retaining top-notch AI engineering talent.
