Manager, Accounting Services Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the daily operations of the Back Office Accounting Services department.

• Set priorities and guarantee consistent execution across all client portfolios.

• Take ownership of operational performance, efficiency, and the profitability of the service line.

• Supervise workload management, staffing, capacity, and resource distribution.

• Track operational, quality, and financial performance metrics, implementing enhancements as needed.

• Create, document, and continuously refine processes, standard operating procedures (SOPs), workflows, quality standards, and training resources.

• Assess systems and workflows to implement scalable operational solutions.

• Develop and execute operational frameworks for new services, revenue streams, and business initiatives.

• Lead initiatives focused on automation, standardization, efficiency, and scalability.

• Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management for the offshore accounting team.

• Collaborate with U.S. and offshore leadership concerning communication, coordination, and accountability.

• Assist in resolving escalated operational and client service challenges.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is required.

• Over 7 years of progressive experience in accounting, accounting operations, shared services, or outsourced accounting.

• At least 3 years of leadership experience managing accounting operations, service delivery, or multi-team environments.

• Foundational knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and month-end closing processes.

• Experience in the restaurant, hospitality, or multi-unit business sectors.

• Expertise in designing and enhancing operational processes, standard operating procedures, and scalable service models.

• Proven experience leading operational change, process improvement, and automation initiatives.

• Familiarity with various accounting ERP systems such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, Restaurant365, or similar.

• Exceptional leadership and people management capabilities.

• Strong operational and systems thinking abilities.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Experience utilizing KPIs and operational metrics to enhance performance.

• Outstanding organizational, communication, and project management skills.

• Capacity to manage competing priorities and collaborate effectively with U.S. and offshore teams.

• Must have work authorization in the United States; sponsorship is not available.
