Management Accountant – CEE

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hungary.

📋 Description

• Generate accurate and timely monthly management reporting files utilizing input from the designated business unit.

• Analyze variances against benchmarks, investigate discrepancies, and assess potential issues in collaboration with non-financial department leaders/business units.

• Lead various initiatives, focusing on process enhancements and system improvements.

• Revise Excel-based reconciliation and support packs for all Balance Sheet accounts.

• Aid in the daily financial operations of the Hungarian Holding entity.

• Provide support and constructive challenges to business leaders during the Group’s Quarterly Strategic Review process (forecasting).

• Prepare information packages for auditors and fulfill the requirements of the statutory audit process.

• Compile periodic financial statements along with supporting schedules, tax computations, and cash flow forecasts.

• Analyze and convey financial data to non-financial managers, offer insights on business implications, and make suitable recommendations.

• Engage in ongoing process development and transformation projects aimed at enhancing business efficiency and profitability.

• Function as a Business Partner across all facets of the role.

• Contribute to the achievement of the overall corporate strategy.

• Gather data and perform analysis to support business decision-making.

• Assist with future acquisitions in the region, including integration into Vesta's systems, processes, controls, and policies.

⛳️ Requirements

• A certified accountant qualification or partial qualification is required.

• Strong commercial insight and financial analysis capabilities.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Proficiency in Excel is essential, along with experience in Microsoft Office applications.

• Strong skills in Excel modeling, data interrogation, and reconciliation.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Great Plains software would be beneficial.

• Experience in an international business setting is advantageous.

• Multilingual proficiency is required, with fluency in Hungarian and English (both verbal and written); additional languages are considered a plus.

• Knowledge of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) is preferred.

• Experience in the software or high-tech industry would be advantageous.
