This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malaysia.
β’ Listen to audio recordings and create accurate, verbatim transcriptions in Malay.
β’ Capture not just the spoken content, but also the manner of delivery (including filler words, repetitions, and false starts).
β’ Add speaker identification for recordings with multiple speakers (ranging from 2 to 8 participants).
β’ Insert precise timestamps for text segments, ensuring 500ms accuracy.
β’ Annotate non-verbal events such as laughter, background noise, or instances of unclear audio.
β’ Adhere to detailed project guidelines and uphold high quality standards.
β’ Maintain consistent productivity and dependability throughout the duration of the project.
β’ Expert-level proficiency in Malay, with a strong understanding of regional accents and colloquial language.
β’ Excellent listening skills and meticulous attention to detail.
β’ Capability to produce verbatim transcriptions, inclusive of stutters, repetitions, and filler phrases.
β’ Previous experience in transcription, annotation, or linguistics is a plus.
β’ Comfortable with using browser-based tools (training will be provided).
β’ A reliable internet connection is essential.
β’ Access to a laptop or desktop computer (mobile devices are not allowed).
β’ Must be reliably available for over 20 hours each week.
