This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Leverage expert outreach capabilities and experience to engage with new Public Sector (federal, state, local) clients both within the US and internationally.
• Inform the market about the benefits of Posit's professional products and effectively sell our software solutions.
• Anticipate sales activities and revenue goals while fostering satisfied and referenceable clients.
• Strategically map and develop territories from the ground up.
• Capitalize on the existing customer base from Posit conference participants, inbound inquiries, and individuals who download our open-source offerings.
• Utilize tools such as Salesforce as a definitive source of information.
• Consistently achieve or surpass 100% of sales objectives.
• Stay informed on industry trends, competitive dynamics, and customer requirements.
• Work in collaboration with our marketing, product, customer success, and support teams to creatively expand our customer portfolio.
• Join a cohesive sales team that prioritizes sharing best practices, mentoring, and learning while maintaining strong collaboration with others.
• Extensive experience in B2B Software Sales.
• Proven success in selling to government entities.
• Familiarity with government RFQ/RFP processes, acquisition regulations, and contract mechanisms.
• Experience collaborating with resellers, VARs, and channel partners targeting government sectors.
• Background in navigating long, intricate sales cycles within large agencies or organizations involving multiple stakeholders.
• Conduct sales with the highest level of integrity while remaining humble and self-driven.
• Flourish in a fast-paced environment that often presents uncertainties and competing priorities.
• Willingness to travel as required.
